Our History

USA’s history is rich with longevity, innovation, expansion and commitment to providing our customers the highest quality and most reliable drip irrigation products available.  Our parent company, Eurodrip SA is a renowned, global supplier of drip irrigation solutions.  Founded in 1979, Eurodrip is recognized as the first European company to offer the revolutionary extrusion and welding of polyethylene drippers into a single seamless drip tube/tape.  

Refined through the years, this proprietary manufacturing process is the most widely used, reliable and advanced method still available today.  The Group has a global presence with manufacturing and distribution operations in locations including the United States, Greece, Turkey, Peru, Egypt and Jordan.   With a staff of 500 worldwide today, Eurodrip sells its drip products in 40 countries helping growers increase crop yields and utilize precious water resources more efficiently.

1979 – Eurodrip S.A. is founded and is the first European Company to become involved with drip irrigation. Its innovative method of welding drippers into a seamless pipe results in significant water conservation and greater crop yield.

1985 - Eurodrip's revolutionary “GR” drip line launched, which further establishes the company's name for innovation and quality in the global market.

1996 - Eurodrip U.S.A., Inc. is formed as a subsidiary in San Diego, CA.  In the same year, Eurodrip is certified in accordance to ISO 9002 for its entire range of operations.

1997 - Eurodrip Egypt S.A.E. is founded, with its own production facility in Egypt to provide direct coverage to the Middle Eastern and African markets.

2000 - Eurodrip S.A. goes public on the Athens Stock Exchange to fund further expansion and innovation of manufacturing. Eurodrip also acquires Eurodrip Damla Sulama Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. in Turkey, expanding in the rapidly developing local and neighboring markets.

2001 - Eurodrip S.A. collaborates with one of the world’s largest financial institutions specializing in agriculture projects to create the Terraproject division, dedicated to supporting all stages of agricultural production. The Company also acquires Hydrocontrols S.A., located in Athens, which offers state of the art water management equipment and services.

2002 - Eurodrip S.A. acquires National Drip Irrigation, a company located in Amman, Jordan to cater to the growing needs of the Middle Eastern Markets.

2002 - Eurodrip U.S.A. expands to Mexico by establishing a fully owned subsidiary - Drip Irrigation de Mexico, which caters exclusively to the Mexican Market.

2005 – Eurodrip Group is acquired by Global Finance, a leading private equity firm headquartered in Athens.  Restructuring begins with focus on improving operational efficiencies, finances and distribution with strong emphasis on product quality and customer service.

2005 – Eurodrip U.S.A. moves to new 65,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in Madera, Ca, the heart of California’s central valley.  The move also initiates an expansion plan that includes bringing all injection molding of seamless tape drippers to the new facility for a fully integrated manufacturing process with greater flexibility and quality control.

2009 – Eurodrip SA announces the establishment of a new affiliate company, Eurodrip Peru SAC, with headquarters in Lima and Manufacturing Facilities in Piura. 

2010 - Eurodrip launches its new innovative Compact LS seamless drip tape.  The new Compact LS dripper design significantly reduces raw material requirements while maintaining industry-leading performance in clog resistance and CV.

 

Eurodrip U.S.A., Inc. History

1996 - Eurodrip U.S.A., Inc. is formed as a subsidiary in San Diego, CA.  In the same year, Eurodrip is certified in accordance to ISO 9002 for its entire range of operations.

1998 - Eurodrip U.S.A, Inc. transitions from a distribution company to a fully operational manufacturing unit, producing the complete range of Eurodrip products to better serve its North and South American markets.

2002 - Eurodrip U.S.A. expands to Mexico by establishing a fully owned subsidiary - Drip Irrigation de Mexico, which caters exclusively to the Mexican Market.

2005 – Eurodrip Group is acquired by Global Finance, a leading private equity firm headquartered in Athens.  Restructuring begins with focus on improving operational efficiencies, finances and distribution with strong emphasis on product quality and customer service.

2005 - Eurodrip U.S.A. expands its Mexican subsidiary by opening a second warehouse with sales & service in Irapuato, Mexico to meet growing demand in the region.

2005 – Eurodrip U.S.A. moves to new 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in Madera, California, the heart of California’s central valley.  The move also initiates an expansion plan that includes bringing all injection molding of seamless tape drippers to the new facility for a fully integrated manufacturing process with greater flexibility and quality control.

2006 – Eurodrip U.S.A. increases its seamless drip tape capacity by over 30% and doubles its hard-wall plain tube and drip tubing (pressure compensating and non-pressure compensating) capacity.

2009 - Eurodrip U.S.A, Inc. begins major plant energy efficiency projects to reduce energy consumption and improve overall plant efficiencies.  The company is awarded over $500,000 in PG&E incentives for its improvements. 

2010 - Eurodrip U.S.A, Inc. announces a new strategic alliance with Raphael Valves Industries Ltd. to exclusively distribute Raphael Hydraulic valves in the United States.

2010 - Eurodrip U.S.A, Inc. increases its seamless drip tape capacity by 20% with the launch of manufacturing the Company's new Compact LS product line in its Madera, CA facility. 

2010 - Eurodrip U.S.A, Inc. expands its Mexican subsidiary by opening a third warehouse with sales and service in Monterrey, Mexico to meet growing demand in the region.
